Father's Day!

I'm behind on posting...hate that! This year was Robbie's first official Father's Day. We are SO thankful for him. It is so amazing, he has far exceeded my expectations of what kind of father he would be. He is so wonderful, to both of us! He never is too busy for William, even after his loooooooong shift, he will stilll walk right in the door and help me out. We are SO lucky. William is a very loved little boy!!

He managed to have off on Father's Day, and we were thrilled. His only request was to go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. We don't get out there very often, since it is in Wake Forest, but it is his favorite!! I thought that was a pretty manageable request ;) We skyped with my dad for the first time ever. It was so funny!! We completely surprised him. He loved being able to see William.

We went to lunch at Two Guys Grille, and then headed to SmartMomma. I am dying for the new B-Agile stroller. It is smaller than our beloved B-Ready, and would be like an umbrella for us. But it is NICE. We are holding off for now...but we both love it! William had fun playing with the train table and the rocking horse they had. We then hung around Buy Buy Baby for a while, then it was time for Texas Roadhouse. We had a looooong wait. It was super packed in there. William tried out the saddle, and was so funny because he kept rocking forward, trying to get it to move. I think he will really like what we have planned for his first birthday present ;)

We gave Robbie his gifts when we got home. He got the Bill O'Reilly book, "Killing Lincoln" and the new Stephen King book, "11/22/63", and a season of Survivor on DVD. I also made him a photobook on Shutterfly from William. It was full of pictures of just the two of them. It is so sweet! I could almost cry looking at it!

We had a great day, and are sooo thankful for Daddy!!!!

Beach Week: Friday & Saturday

Friday was our last full day at the beach. We really wanted to make the most of it! I had to work, but luckily we stayed pretty slow! William and Molly had a good time playing in the morning after their breakfast. Robbie and Willie did a quick trial of putting up the beach tent before getting out on the beach. That way, they looked like beach tent bosses on the beach actually setting it up! LOL. We loaded up William's wagon with the babies and headed over to the beach. The water was perfect. We got William and Molly settled then Robbie and I swam in the ocean for a while. The babies played in William's pool filled with ocean water. Molly got tired of it pretty quick, haha. After about an hour of being on the beach, William was exhausted. He fell asleep right in my arms, and even slept for a little while in the tent. The tent worked great! We didn't have to worry about them getting any sun. We came back to the cottage for a few minutes in the pool, then headed in to get ready. We went to dinner at Sugar Creek. It was delicious! I had the fried shrimp, my usual. They were wonderful!!! Friday night was a little rough. We had to quickly and quietly pack all of our stuff since we had to leave Saturday morning before 10. We got William down for bed, and about an hour and a half later, we heard him on the monitor. A little strange since all week he had been sleeping all night fine. He kept going back to sleep and then waking up like he was in terrible pain, just screaming. Finally, around 12:30, I told Robbie we had to do something. So, Tyler let us borrow his car to run to Harris Teeter (the only thing we could find open on the beach) and we got some saline spray. This seemed to calm him down. He woke up every hour and a half or so all night long. Bless his heart. His little nose was so stuffed. Needless to say, we were exhausted Saturday....and the rest of the week!!! Sunday was the WORST. Robbie and I both caught William's cold. His first sickness!! Luckily, he never ran a fever and was over it in about 4 days. We realize we are not quite ready for another newborn...having little sleep 4 nights in a row just about did us in!!! We are so happy that he is doing better, whew!! ;)

BFF's!

We were up early Saturday, making sure we had everything packed. We left the cottage by 10 and headed to Robbie's parents. On the way there, we were stuck on the bridge for over an hour because of a car accident. We got to their house finally and Robbie's mom went to lunch with us at the Mexican restaurant in Moyock. We came back to their house and hung out for a while and talked, then packed Riley up and hit the road!!! A stop in Elizabeth City was needed to see Shelley and Conner! She was nice enough to give us a TON of Conner's fall clothes and pajamas. We got home around 7:30 Saturday night and quickly unpacked the car and got William to bed. We had a GREAT time at the beach! Many visitors, many restaurants, and sooo much fun! We all wish we were still there!!!

Saying goodbye to Mrs. Allsbrook!

Sad to leave the beach :(

Waiting for Shelley and Conner

Beach Week: Wednesday & Thursday

Wednesday was Pam & Jeremiah's last day with us. :( Jeremiah said he wanted to stay 300 more days. Lol!! We ate lunch at the cottage and then spent the day in the pool!! William spent some time in the big pool and then played some more in his little pool out by the big pool. Daddy stopped by to see us again. Our cousin Caroline stopped by after everyone left and we had a good time just hanging out and talking. We went to dinner that night at Mama Kwan's. Everyone had been raving about it. Hannah and Caroline had goooood strawberry margaritas!! I ordered fish tacos (everyone's favorite) and they were delicious!! It was a TON of food! You make them yourself, which was really neat. After that, Hannah, Caroline, Mama and Barbara went to see a movie and Robbie, William, and I stopped at American Pie for some ice cream and then headed home. I could NOT keep my eyes open and fell asleep around 10 and then woke up at 11:30 and we went to bed.

Thursday morning, William played with his Leap Frog Scout puppy that Pam bought him! He loves it and it says the sweetest things!! I had to monitor my work inbox for the day. It wasn't too bad and I wasn't all that busy. We all got ready and had lunch with Moe and Caroline at Kill Devil Grill. It was delicious! I had a burger, which I don't even like, and it was delicious. We had cheesesteak eggrolls for an appetizer. OMG. They are amazing. It was so nice spending some time with Moe and Caroline. William came home and took a sideways nap. I was so weak when I saw how he was sleeping. Can it even be comfortable?! Ashley, Willie, and Molly came down around 5. We got ready and all went to Lone Cedar again. Tyler came back down to the beach and joined us for dinner as well. Ashley and Willie had never been. It was just as delicious as the first night we went this week! William and Molly just took it all in. They had late bedtimes since we got home so late! But they were still good, as usual!

Beach Week: Monday & Tuesday

Monday morning, Pam and Jeremiah arrived. We were excited to see them! William spent the morning pulling up on furniture and playing. Hannah's friend Tyler had been with us Sunday, and left today. We loved having him down. We all headed to Capt'n Franks for lunch, a favorite. Pam's mom joined us so that she could see William. We shopped a little bit for stuff for the cottage then went back. William went down for a nap and Mama watched him while Robbie, Pam, and I enjoyed the pool for a little while. Hannah's friend Savannah stopped by and brought William the CUTEST Polo shirts. They spent the day at the beach. Daddy stopped by to visit for a little while too. William just kept grinning at him. When Scott got off work, he came and we all walked over to the beach for a few minutes. The water was great! We all went to Mako Mike's for dinner that night. Mama's friend Barbara showed up after dinner and we stayed up talking until 2 in the morning. I haven't stayed up that late in ages.

Get up, get up!

Tuesday, the ocean was rough!! I decided there was no way I was getting in that water. We actually kept seeing a Coast Guard airplane and helicopter go over our cottage and a jet ski with a diver on the back slowly going through the water. Our curiosity got the best of us and we all bundled up and walked over to the lifeguard to ask what was going on. A kayak had washed up and they were making sure no one had been in it and in trouble. It was so windy. So, we went back to the pool since the cottage blocked all the wind. We enjoyed that for a little while then Robbie and I ran up to the hot tub for a few minutes to just relax. After that, we needed to get ready since we were having family pictures that night! Amy with Still Frames Photography was coming from Elizabeth City, and since it was so cloudy, she came an hour earlier which was great. Mama hurt her foot really badly and couldn't even walk. We somehow got all the way over to the beach. We got a few family shots, then Barbara took her to Urgent Care. We finished up our family shots, with a lot of help from Hannah to make sure William was smiling. It was sooo cold and windy. When we got finished with pictures, Pam had a wonderful spaghetti dinner waiting for us. William could barely eat his food he was so tired, so an early bedtime was in order for him. I spent the rest of the night stalking Facebook waiting for sneak peeks of our shoot! They were great!! I will be sharing the pics soon!!
