On our fourth day, we went to Magic Kingdom! I LOVE MK. It just is SO magical to me! We decided to spend two days at MK, since it is so big and we didn't want to miss anything!
The first day, we took our time and had breakfast in our room. We got to the park around 10:30 and of course, stopped for a couple pics. ;) We headed over to the area to meet Peter Pan, and waited forever for him to appear. Robbie's app had a different time than he was actually coming. While we were waiting, we ran into some friends! It was so funny to see people we knew!! Elizabeth and her husband and kids, and her sister were there! I can't believe in that huge place that we found them!! So fun!
Peter finally came out, and ran right over to William and pointed to his outfit and said, "I like that!" He wore a smocked jon jon with Peter, Captain Hook, and Tick Tock Croc on it. We weren't too far back in line, so before we knew it, it was our turn with him! He got on the floor and talked to William, signed his book, and took pictures. William loved it!
After walking around a little bit, we stopped at Pecos Bill's for lunch. It was counter service, and really good! I had the grilled chicken salad. It had tortilla strips, corn relish, etc in it! So good!!
After lunch, we walked right by the carousel and saw there was so line! Whoop whoop! We hopped on. I even rode!! It was fun! ;) We had a FastPass for Mickey's Philharmagic too! LOVED it. This was something we missed last time, and I was so sad. William loved seeing his favorite characters, and we loved the cool rest! Ha!
After a carousel ride, it was time for our FastPass for Peter Pan's Flight! We didn't ride this last year, because it constantly has a long wait - we made sure to use a FastPass! ;) It was a really neat ride!! You get into ships, and go through the entire movie. William loved seeing his faves, Captain Hook and Tick Tock Croc!
Right after that, William fell asleep in his stroller. We stopped at Gaston's Tavern and shared a cinnamon bun. Poor baby missed out! It was SO good! Robbie loves to try new things - so he had to try some weird marshmallow/apple cider drink. It came in a collector's mug....so...he will do anything for a collector's mug. Just sayin.
Splash Mountain was closed when we went (bummer), BUT over by the ride, you can meet Woody and Jessie. I wanted to take the WDW Railroad around the park just to see how that was, and Robbie mentioned we were right by the meeting spot, so we ran over. Woody was going to a break right as we got there, but we waited around. The awesome thing was, when he came back out, Jessie was with him!! William was THRILLED. He loved hugging and talking to them!
After seeing our favorites;), we rode the WDW Railroad. We took it all around the park. It was such a nice little break! Of course, William loved that we were on a choo choo!
We waited in line for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. It was pretty long, but moved fast. We took William on it since it didn't have a height restriction. I will say - this ride was a teeny bit scary for him. It got really dark at one point, and you kinda go down a hill in your little boat and get splashed with water. He was fine, but seemed a little shaken up right when it happened haha. Robbie and I had never ridden it, so we didn't have any idea! It was still a cool ride though!
Last ride of the day - Robbie took William on Aladdin's magic carpets while Mama and I people watched. William was SO exhausted by this point. Poor baby!
Rafiki spotting! |
We had dinner reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern. It was super nice! They have a coloring spot set up for while you are waiting for your table - William loved that! The food was really good! It is unlimited - salad, bread, turkey, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, green beans, sweet potatoes, and dessert. We really enjoyed it!
When dinner was over, it was time for the Electrical Light Parade! This was William's favorite part last year, so I knew he'd love it again. And he DID! It is a SUPER busy parade though, so get your spots early!!
After the parade, we decided to skip the fireworks show, "Wishes", and see it the next night. We were all so tired, and this gave us a chance to leisurely shop in the huge gift shop on Main Street while everyone watched the show. ;)
