A Year of Grace

Well, y'all, I would be remiss to not mention that today is a special day for me.

One year ago, my life was feeling pretty dark.
One year ago, my marriage was suffering.
One year ago, I felt that I wasn't being the best mother.
One year ago, I was ready to give up on lots of things.

BUT, a year ago today, I was brought OUT of that black hole. The sweet redemption and grace of our Savior, saved me. Saved my marriage. Because of Him, I am now promised eternal life. There will be no fear.

I am SO thrilled that I can now share this Good Word with my sweet William. He will not grow up in a house devoid of the sweet, pure love of Jesus. I already love watching him bow his head at prayer time, and hear his sweet voice thank our Father for all of our many blessings.

Being a Christian does not promise a perfect life, or even that I will always be a perfect person. Everyday, I am trying more and more to let my light shine and glorify Him.

I am so thankful for Providence Baptist Church. We have met so many amazing people, through LIFE class, Bible study, serving in BLAST, etc. Everyone is such an encouragement to us, and we just feel the love of Christ surrounding us every time we walk through the doors. I just have to encourage you to find a church, get involved, and watch great things happen!

I leave you with one thought - He can restore. I promise you that. Since I have trusted in him, He has made my paths straight, just as He promised in Proverbs 3:6; and filled me with the peace that transcends understanding (Philippians 4:7). The other night, I was reading William a story from his Jesus Storybook Bible. I just had to take a picture of the last page. It made me tear up; reading about how no matter far you run, you are never too lost for God to find you, and redeem you.

Thank you, Lord, for your saving grace every day.
