Snow, Round 2!

The week before we left for Disney, we had ANOTHER round of snow. This one was even worse than the first one! William and I had run out to lunch with Mama, Hannah, and Susan. Around 12:30, we see a TON of snow coming down. Literally, within 20 minutes, the roads are covered! Of course, William and I are in the bald-tired Honda. I white-knuckled it home, and was SO thankful when we pulled in the driveway. Robbie of course was at work, and didn't get to leave until around 4:30. It took him 45 minutes to get home, and usually takes 15! He was lucky, though. He went against traffic. Some of my friends' husbands were walking home miles in the ice and snow, and some spending the night at friends houses. Thankfully, everyone on my friends list got home safely!

Once Robbie was home, we had a nice night together - and he had the next day off, which was SO nice! I didn't have to stress, and we could all be together. We ended up getting about 5-6 inches at our house, which is a TON for us! I made a huge pot of chicken noodle soup, and we watched movies. We reallllly didn't want to take William out in it, since he was getting over a cold AND the stomach bug, and our trip was so close. We didn't want to chance him getting sick again! Robbie geared up and told me he was going outside to build William a snowman. He knows how much W loves snowmen (thanks to Frozen), and wanted him to have one, since we wouldn't take him out. He worked forever on that thing! He even had a carrot nose and raisin eyes. ;) William was thrilled. Every time we came downstairs, he wanted to see "Olaf" and if his nose was gone, he stressed until we put it back in. So, imagine his disappointment a few days later when Olaf was completely gone. Poor baby. At least we had our trip to Disney to make up for the sadness! ;)

The snow is always fun, but I think we have had enough for this winter!!! Bring it on, spring!!
