Jumperoo, Anniversary, Nursery...

We got our Jumperoo this week in the mail from two sweet family members of mine! I was so excited that I started putting it together right away! Haha. I know it's super early but I "wanted to make sure all the parts were there". You can never be too careful. It is sooo cute and it was funny to see how Riley reacted to it since I want her to be as acclimated as possible, bless her heart she just has no idea what's about to happen to her little life!!

July 11th we celebrated our 2nd anniversary of wedded bliss!! Our last one without a baby! WOW! We went to Ruth's Chris Steak House. It's funny but we both agreed we love Angus Barn way more, and we could have gone there twice for the price! Our steaks had to be sent back because they weren't cooked correctly, so we did get dessert on the house. Nice surprise haha. Overall, it was a great experience to get to go, but we won't go again. :-/

Anniversary dinner at 26 weeks!

Last update....the nursery is finally painted!!!! I LOVE how it came out! Robbie's dad and Jeremiah came up yesterday and they painted all morning and it looks great!! I cannot wait to get the room all finished!

Our furniture is being delivered on Saturday, so I will do another update with that!!

Gender Reveal Party

Since I haven't blogged in soooo long, I hadn't even mentioned that our BFF's, Willie and Ashley, are also expecting!!! We are so excited for them and that we will have such close friends to go through this experience with us. And hopefully our kids will be the best of friends also!! ;)

They had a gender reveal party on July 9th! They are better than me - they didn't even know what they were having until we all saw the inside of the cake!! The ultrasound tech called the bakery for them and told them what color to put in the cake. We all had dinner with both sides of their family and then it was cake cutting time!! Everyone was SCREAMING as they were cutting into the cake! It was so much fun!

It's A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are so excited!!!!!!! Robbie and I keep joking that now our William has a bride in little Miss Molly!!! Hahaha but that would be wonderful....

June Dr. Appt

24 weeks!
June 28th, we went back to the doctor! Another ultrasound this time and a huge relief that my favorite tech was there, whew!! I did all my labwork, everything looked great, and headed back out to the waiting room with Robbie. Then in walks my mom!! It was such a surprise!  I was so glad she could come back and see the ultrasound with us. Thankfully, again everything looked great. She was able to get the pics of the spine and his face she needed, so that was a relief! The great part about this part of pregnancy is feeling him move. It is so reassuring. The only bad thing is when he doesn't move a lot, and I start stressing haha. I'm never satisfied! We saw the doctor briefly but luckily have no problems so for that we are grateful. I go back the end of July for the gestational diabetes test, which I am dreading!!! I hate blood draws, remember?! And diabetes runs in my family so that scares me :-/ Oh well, we'll see!!

23 weeks!

Baby Sis Graduates!!

On May 7th, Hannah graduated from Peace College!!! We are so proud of her! Mama, Daddy, Linda, Hunter, Robbie and I went to the graduation then we all had lunch with Stephanie and her dad at PF Chang's. After lunch, we headed to my house, and Robbie's parents were there to celebrate with cake and presents! It was a fun day and a joyous occassion after 4 years of Hannah's hard work!!!

The next day, Robbie and his dad put up chair rail in the baby's room. I was so excited about this!!! It looks so good and I cannot wait to get some paint up on those walls!!

May

May was a big month!! We had 2 doctor's appointments this month...and the one on May 31st was the highly anticipated anatomy scan!!!

The first appointment was May 2nd (16 weeks) and it was a "boring" one haha. Luckily, a finger prick was all I had to endure; I will take that over the blood draw ANY day of the week! We had no ultrasound this time, only the doppler for the heartbeat. But thank God for that heartbeat!!! At this point, I was still in the fear mode for REAL and to hear that heartbeat gave me maybe one or two days of relief, haha. I had actually lost weight this month, which I thought was crazy since I had been eating ice cream EVERY night - which is not like me, usually I don't even like ice cream! Weird.

As far as symptoms, I have been so lucky and haven't had many. I wasn't very tired in the 1st trimester, only got sick maybe 3 times, and really didn't notice too much of a difference. I definitely realize how lucky I am!

May 5th was a big day for me as I finally got my hair done! I was so paranoid about the dye and waited until the 1st trimester was WAY over so I had about 3 inch roots of DARK hair with my blonde, haha!! Everyone in my life was way excited for me because it looked awful.

May 31st was the BIG day!!!! My appointment wasn't until 3:40 (Are you kidding me?!) I went and did all my labwork (easy stuff) and everything was great again, thank goodness. So Robbie and I are in the waiting room....and I see this lady come out of the ultrasound room and my heart SUNK. It wasn't the usual lady, who I LOVE. Seriously, if she could deliver my baby, I would be content. For real. So then I heard the lady at the front desk say the usual lady was on vacation. OMG. I almost rescheduled. Not to mention, we were in the waiting room until after 5 waiting for our ultrasound. So, we go into the room and she gets started...and thank goodness, there is a baby in there. I am always relieved. Ask Robbie how annoying it is lol. She asks us what we think "it" is, and we say boy....and then.....we find out.......we are right!!!!!!!! It's a BOY!!!!!! We were so excited!! As long as it is healthy, it really shouldn't matter what it is! I was used to all girls though haha since I don't have any brothers, and Robbie was pulling for a girl since his family is all boys. But we are thrilled! It was definitely God's way of letting me know that I am NOT in control of everything hahaha. The tech wasn't as talkative as the usual tech and that was disappointing since Robbie and I knew nothing about ultrasounds, haha! She couldn't get a good pic of the spine or face (anterior placenta ruins it everytime!). So we meet with the doctor and he said everything looked great and we will schedule and ultrasound for our next appt to get a better pic of the spine and face. He looked right at me and said "Do not worry, this is nothing to worry about and very common". But of course as soon as we got in the car I am stressed!!! 4 more weeks of waiting?! Robbie says I am the only person who worries when the doctor says right to me to NOT worry. I can't help it!!!

So, after the big reveal, we had to get started on a name!! We knew we wanted to do the middle name as my dad's name (Carter) but could not decide on a first name!! We finally decided on William Carter. I am so excited about it! I think it is such a sweet and traditional name. We have already been getting things monogrammed!

Sweet bedding thanks to my dad!

20 weeks!

Love these!

April

So, on April 4th, at 12 weeks, we went back to the doctor to have the nuchal translucency screening. I got through the ultrasound fine, and thankfully nothing looked amiss.

Next, they send me to the lab, and I start trembling. The worst part is, Robbie can't go back there with me!!! The nicest lady draws my blood and then says "wow Sara you look so pale are you ok?" Next thing I know, I am SICK everywhere. Poor lady. I was so embarrassed. OMG. But I will take getting sick over passing out any day. Woof.

We also went ahead and bought our stroller/carseat this month. Early, I know but I wanted to make sure we took advantage of the Britax Free Ride event - buy the stroller and get the carseat for free!! We went with the Britax Chaperone carseat and Britax B-Ready stroller. I am so excited to use them!!

The other big occassion this month was Conner's 1st Birthday!!! Robbie and Mama and I went to EC for the weekend to celebrate his big day!

Robbie and I contributed the cake to the party! LOVED it!

March

On March 21, we had our next dr appt at 10 weeks along! We had another ultrasound because of the scare last time, and everything looked great again!!! We were so thankful.

No bloodwork this time, so I was a happy camper. Weight and blood pressure looked fine...my blood pressure is always high when I walk in the door, so I ask the ladies to wait a few minutes and do it manually, not with that evil machine! At our practice, you see a different doctor every appointment, and this dr we really loved!! She was more laid back and answered alllll my questions. And at that point, I had a TON. I was so paranoid! I have been the pickiest eater...no deli meat, limit shrimp, careful of cheeses, and have literally had 6 sips of caffeine in 6 months now! We were asked if we wanted the optional nuchal translucency test, so we agreed to that and scheduled that for 12 weeks.

I went out and bought my first little pack of outfits....couldn't help it!!
