Weekend Rewind {Nov. 16-18}

Friday: This weekend we got a taste of what it would be like to have a normal weekend AKA Robbie off Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday. It was wonderful!! He opened Friday and I worked at home, and it must not have been too eventful because I don't have any pictures except proof that William actually ate a balanced dinner for a change. He gobbled up all of his turkey, peas, mac and cheese, and yogurt. The rest of us had pork chops instead of turkey and no yogurt. Robbie and I left around 7:15 to meet Ashley and Willie to see "Breaking Dawn: Part 2". It has been so long since I read the book, but it was a great movie and a great ending to the saga. We got home to a sleeping little boy, yay! We love date nights and really need to do them more often, and focus on ourselves for at least a couple hours. :)

Saturday: Saturday was a busy day!! We had our last of the November celebrations today; Davis's 1st birthday party!! We were invited to two baby showers and three birthday parties in November! Shew!! We put William down for his morning nap and he took his pants off by himself! I saw him shaking something on the monitor, and knew he had to have taken his pants off. We were laughing so hard. He finally slept for just a few minutes. Sometimes naps are hard to come by and I just pray this is not the end. We had fun at the party and Davis got some really neat toys and loved his cake!!! After we left, we headed over to Southpoint. We were going to have dinner at Firebirds, so we ran into Target to get a few things and then were going to walk the mall for a while. Well, the mall was incredibly packed so we put our name on the list at Firebirds and went to stand in line. We were told we only had a 20 minute wait, and it ended up being about 45 minutes. Thank goodness William was in the best mood, even without an afternoon nap! We finally got seated and enjoyed a delicious dinner. Firebirds is one of our favorites!!!

Look! No pants!!

Grumpy before the party!

Opening presents!

Cake smashing!

Not a parking spot to be seen!

Passed out crossing the street from Target to the mall.

Sunday: Sunday morning we had Christmas minis with our fave photographer, Courtenay. They were at the Duke Gardens. I was so nervous it was going to rain and be freezing, but it actually wasn't too bad, and the sun even peeked out!! William wore a Santa longall that I bought last year. It was HUGE last year and fits pretty nicely this year. Yay! Jennifer and her family also had pics taken by Courtenay that morning, so after we all finished, we headed to Chapel Hill to have lunch at Mama Dip's. It was delicious as usual. After that, we went back over to Southpoint because Robbie wanted some more sweaters at Old Navy. I ran into Nordstrom Rack and was disappointed. Pier 1 did not disappoint, however, and I scored placemats and chargers for our Christmas dinner. William fell asleep literally a mile from home, so we rushed him upstairs for a nap and he screamed and cried and just would not sleep. We wanted to be lazy, so we just brought him into our room and we watched a movie until dinnertime. I made lasagna in the crock pot...and started it too late. I was starving, so I figured it was done...so we ended up with a few tough noodles, haha! William didn't seem to mind. While we cleaned up, he enjoyed cleaning out the diaper bag and repeating "diada, diada" over and over when he saw his diapers. It was my bath night, so after a bath and a story, he fell right asleep since he had NO nap. Robbie and I enjoyed some TV while we unwound. He got prepared for another work week and I thanked God I don't have to go into the office at all this week because of the holiday; I am working at home.

Ready for pictures!

Family lazy pic!

Happy Actual Birthday, Molly!!

Yesterday was Molly's actual birthday.  I took a half day off work and we went over there around 2:30 so we could celebrate and have a family haircut day! William and Molly played their hearts out. We had the most delicious dinner!!! They fixed an appetizer of a cheesy beef dip. It was amazing. William and Molly stood at the table begging for it whenever they saw us go to it. Poor babies, didn't experience that goodness. We had chicken tacos and cheesy rice for dinner and it was delish! William and Molly usually split a taco, and we had to make them another one! I think they worked up an appetite playing non-stop! After dinner, we celebrated with a cake from Edible Art that Robbie and I picked up that afternoon. It was wonderful as usual. William had his third haircut and sat SO still, yay! The boys gave the babies baths while Ashley finished my hair and we cleaned up. After baths, they played in Molly's ball pit downstairs. Molly is a daredevil! Jumping in and out of the balls, while William just sat there holding one ball haha. I definitely think William has inherited my cautiousness and Molly has Ashley's rebelness! Hahaha ;) We got home and William went straight to bed. A few minutes later, Robbie came out of his room holding him!!! I was so weak. Usually I am the one to get him out for a squeeze. The sweet boy slept right through both of us hugging on him!

Our sweet Molly is so special to us!! I STILL remember all the texts I was getting from Willie on the day Ashley went into the hospital...and the one late that night that she was born!! So exciting! I cannot believe we both have one year olds!! We are so lucky to be sharing this experience with our close friends!!!

Weekend Rewind {Nov. 9-11}

This was just too funny from Thursday night. We went to Old Navy after dinner and this was the only stroller they had. William kept looking at us like, "Really?!"

Friday: Robbie was off, yay! We had a lazy morning and then headed out to lunch and a dr. appt for William. We went to Zaxby's for lunch. We never get to go there and it is close to the doctor, so it seems we always go there before or after a doctor's appt. They were out of highchairs AND booster seats so William had to sit on the booth, like he was 5 years old. I was so nervous he wouldn't eat. It was a little bit of a challenge since he could hardly reach his food, but he did pretty well!! We went to the doctor because he has been spitting up lately. He was a very spitty baby and had bathroom "issues" as a baby. I was just praying it wasn't a wheat or milk allergy. She still thinks it is related to his bathroom problems and that he gets so stopped up it makes him vomit. Bless his heart. So for now he is on MiraLax to help. Poor, sweet boy!! After the doctor, he came home and napped and then played. His new obsession is getting IN the train table. It scares me to death. I am so afraid he is going to fall OUT and break something. He chose to watch Jake and the Neverland Pirates while sitting in the train table. We made chicken tacos for dinner. That is one of William's favorite dinners. Robbie has learned how to make mexican rice and it is sooo good! While he napped that afternoon, we changed William's car seat to forward facing. It was a scary decision for me, since I swore I would keep him turned until 2. But lately, he has been screaming whenever we go somewhere. I talked to his doctor about it and we have decided that he will be turned. After dinner, we took a quick ride to see if he liked it any better. Whenever you look back at him, his little feet are crossed and he is smiling. SO sweet!!!

Chillin in the toy box

Big boy at lunch!

Saturday: Saturday was a busy day. We got up, got ready, and out the door! Before Molly's party, I ran into the Patsy Aiken Outlet to get a brown turtleneck for W and Mama got him an outfit for Christmas. Who would have thought it was so hard to find a brown turtleneck?! I had looked EVERYwhere after passing it up the last time the outlet opened, so this time I knew I was going to have to get it. It's hard to pass up a deal like that - $36 turtleneck for $6!! We celebrated Molly's birthday after that. When we left Molly's, we ran to Shutterbugs to get William a Christmas shirt that I had been eyeing for months. I finally gave in. We had dinner reservations at The Pit for Tanya's birthday! It was delicious as usual and William was SO good, even after his exhausting day or birthday parties and no nap!! I took no pictures. :(

Sunday: Robbie worked and Mama and I went to lunch with W at the Mexican restaurant. We didn't have any plans and it was so nice! We ventured over to Kohl's and Mama bought a ton of stuff for William and got a great deal! He is going to be a happy boy on Christmas! I also got a few gifts - for William, my dad, my FIL. We are getting closer and closer to getting finished with our list. I have ONE more thing to get for William that I am so excited about! One of the gifts Mama got was a Thomas the train play mat. It came with a Thomas and was perfect for traveling. She went ahead and gave it to him so that we could have it over Thanksgiving with all of our traveling. I set it up on the floor and when William got up from his nap, as soon as he noticed it, he laughed and started crawling to it QUICK!! I think it will be a hit! That night, we had spaghetti for dinner. It is not a favorite dish of mine, but Robbie and William love it. William was a MESS. He went straight to the bathtub after. After his bath, William was playing and Riley had hid on the other side of the room. We heard William patting on her, and we looked and saw the picture below. Riley wasn't even concerned! Usually when she can't see who is patting her, she freaks out and gets up. She must really trust William, she doesn't even let US pat her like that from behind! haha!
