Friday: What a day. I was up before William, getting ready and doing last minute packing. We left around 9 to head to Elizabeth City. We met Robbie's mom and Barbara for lunch at Wildflower - our fave!! After lunch, we rode to Daddy's to visit with him. We had an appointment with a financial adviser in EC to set up William's college fund (Thank you to my dad for generously starting this for W). We got all that straight and then went to Robbie's parents around 6. We all had pizza for dinner and just relaxed. Leroy bought William the cutest rocking horse! It neighs and wags its tail.William was obsessed. He went to bed around 9 and then we stayed up talking until 11. When you are not used to sleeping in the room with a baby, you do not rest well, FYI. Every time William moved, my eyes popped open. I was so afraid he was going to wake up and see me and think it was playtime! He did great though and slept until 8:30!

Saturday: See below for the sweet face I woke up to! He was so happy that I was in the room with him. He started waving and squealing out. He had a messy breakfast of cereal bar and yogurt and I started packing up. We left their house and headed to EC for lunch at the Pineapple Cafe. After lunch, we ran a couple errands then made our way to Erica's shower!! She is having a baby boy (Jackson) later this month and we are sooo excited!!! She had a nice shower and got tons of gifts!! Jackson is set! We left her shower around 5 and then stopped at 3 Amigos for dinner and started the long drive home. William was not having the last 30 minutes of the drive and cried the whole way. Woof! We got home around 9:30 and Robbie was so happy to see us. I guess when your wife and baby are gone, even for a night, things get lonely haha!

Sunday: Robbie had off, so we enjoyed relaxing. William had a breakfast of pumpkin spice waffles. When he was finished, he pulled his bib off and stacked his waffles on the bib and started saying "Good Job". We always say good job when he cleans his food up on a plate instead of throwing it in the floor, so maybe it's sinking in?!?! After his nap, we went to the Farmer's Market restaurant. It was delish, as usual!! We were supposed to come home after that and relax and I was going to make chili for dinner. BUT, we decided to ride out to Heritage Wake Forest and look at houses for the future (more on that laterrrrr). We ran to Toys R Us and Old Navy and then realized it was too late to fix chili. We grabbed Mexican and then came home. While Robbie gave William a bath, I fixed the hamburger meat so I would be able to start the chili at lunch Monday. When William was in bed, we caught up on some TV we had recorded.

Look at that sweet face! William is just precious. I agree, sleeping in the room with a kid is not quality rest at all!
