Staycation

This week, we had a little staycation. Robbie was off Monday-Wednesday and I decided to take off too. Our original plans were to go home and see Robbie's parents and my dad and get William's college fund sorted out, but we just decided that staying home would be a good idea and we could get some rest and spend some time together!

Monday was Robbie's birthday.

Tuesday, we met Mama and Susan for lunch at Jason's Deli. They have the best salad bar! After that, we went down to Cameron Village and William got new saddle shoes for all of his longalls. We looked in a couple other stores and then stopped at a consignment store on Glenwood. Tuesday night was date night!! William went off with Nana and Susan to Mama Dip's and Robbie and I headed to The Mez, an upscale mexican restaurant. It was different, but very good!! We shared the Queso Flameado for an appetizer, yum! I had the baja fish tacos and Robbie had the steak tacos. They were both SO good!!! After that, we ran to Home Goods (we are in the market for new lamps for the master bedroom), and the movies! We saw Taken 2 and it was so good!! Very intense!

Uh oh!!

Wednesday, we hung out around the house until lunchtime. I started a pot roast for dinner. We decided to go to Stone Creek Village and have lunch at Five Guys since it was so nice out. We just had to get out! We had lunch outside and it was so nice! We walked around the shops for a few minutes. We loved the toy store out there! It had the neatest toys!!! They even had a book called "Goodnight, iPad", a parody of Goodnight, Moon. I was dying to have it!! We have found it cheaper on Amazon ;) William played with the train table and the airplane table in there. We ran into Mama and Susan, who had lunch at Tribeca Tavern. After that, we came home and put William to bed and Robbie and I got to work. We cleaned out the garage! He got a new tool chest from his parents for his birthday, and we cleaned out his old one and organized the new one. Robbie made two trips to the attic to put up William's outgrown clothes and tons of other things. We then tackled the downstairs closet. It was awful, just a catchall for everything. It is much more organized now, and Goodwill got about 15 coats!! We had a great few days off together!
