Thursday: Technically not the weekend, but I still had some cute pictures from that day so here they are :) William had his snack after his nap outside on his picnic table. He was loving it until he got too wild and fell backwards off of it. Thank goodness we put it close to the grass so he was cushioned. We had dinner that night with mama and Hannah at the Mexican restaurant behind our neighborhood. He looked so sweet in his consignment steal pumpkin jon jon! After dinner, he walked around outside with Hannah and loved it!
Friday: I worked at home and Robbie closed, so he was with us most of the day. William is getting adventurous with his new slide and tries to walk up the slide instead of slide down, haha! We hung out around home until dinner. Mama, Hannah, Stephanie, her dad, William and I went to O'Charley's. After that, we made a Target run. William is the biggest non-eater I have ever encountered, so I stocked up on some Gerber Graduates Grabbers so he at least can feed himself some fruits/veggies and some snacks! We sat outside the dressing room while Hannah tried on clothes. Mama would tell him to call Hannah, and he would put his hand up to his ear like he was calling her. We were laughing so hard. Sorry for the blurry picture, but of COURSE when I try to get him to do it for the camera, it is a no go!
Thanks for the new PJ's, Randi! |
To die for lashes! |
Waiting to be sat at dinner. |
Call Hannah!! |
Saturday: Saturday was going to be a busy day, since my dad was coming into town! Robbie and I made an early Harris Teeter run to get some really good Saturday e-Vic specials. We grabbed Starbucks on the way home. I was hoping William would have gotten a nap while we were gone, but he JUST fell asleep when daddy called and said they were almost to Raleigh. So we had to wake him up to get dressed. Robbie closed again so he was with us until after lunch. We met Annette, Daddy, and Annette's grandson, Dawson, at the train store in Cary. William got a new Chuggington train for his train table that Hannah got him for his birthday. He enjoyed seeing the big Thomas outside of the store. We went to Gypsy's Shiny Diner for lunch. It was a nice change, haven't been there in forever! Robbie went to work after that, and we all headed downtown to go to the Marbles museum. Well, Saturday was just the worst day. It was raining so hard and there were no parking spaces. So, we scratched the museum. We went to Crabtree and took the boys to the Disney and Lego stores. William got the sweetest Dalmatian stuffed animal. He is obsessed with them on the little commercials on Disney junior. Since he had no morning or afternoon nap, he was running on empty. He kept squealing out, which is the worst! We finally left the mall around 5 and I went and picked up Hannah. We met Mama and Stephanie and her dad at Robbie's store for a quick dinner.
Sunday: Robbie actually had off, yay!! We got up and ready and left for the Farmer's Market for lunch. William got the cutest "little farmer" kids menu. It was so little!! We ordered him the Mickey Mouse pancake and it was HUGE! We all started laughing when she brought it out. William ate maybe an eighth of it. After lunch, we went to Green Acres Farm. William was exhausted after that. He and mama stayed home and he napped while Robbie and I went grocery shopping. When we got home, William was waking up and we watched the Redskins play (and win, yay!!) and William played with his trains. We picked up a rotisserie chicken for dinner and I made mac and cheese and biscuits (Recipe below) and veggies. Busy, but fun, weekend!!! ;)
Parmesan Pull-Aparts: Ingredients: 2 cans (7.5 oz each) refrigerated Homestyle Biscuits 3 tablespoons Butter, melted 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder 1/2 teaspoon dried Parsley 1 teaspoon dried Minced Onion (we left this out, haha!) 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan Cheese 1/3 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese |
I wasn't too successful and turning them out of the pie plate, haha!! They came out messy, but they are DElicious!! |
Those biscuits look like a must-try. Avery went through a stage where I felt like all she ate was pasta pick-ups, yogurt, cheese, and maybe some fruit. She is in a picky dinnertime stage now and it's driving us nuts. I think if William is familiar with Thomas (like has seen the show some) then he would enjoy it. I feel like there were definitely other kids there that age. When Avery turned two she was all about fire trucks and tractors and would get excited when she would see one. She still does actually!
