Good Friends and a "Raffe"

We had a fun Friday night! We met Laura, Caleb, and the girls at Amedeo's. They smartened up and put us in a private room LOL! It was so nice to not worry as much about everyone getting loud, or at least we didn't see their annoyed faces. ;) We had a great dinner and conversation, and followed up with our ritual - all of the kids doing Ring Around The Rosie outside. Even Lucy joined in on the fun!

William was SO excited to see Lucy! He kept pointing at her and laughing!!
He wanted to hold Eleanor's hands on the way out

So sweet!
After dinner, Robbie and I just rode around NC State, reminiscing. I still can't believe I went there! It seems HUGE now and so intimidating. I don't think I could do it again LOL. After that, I had the brilliant idea to head to Pullen Park (it was 8:30). Robbie was less than thrilled. We missed the train ride, since the last ride was at 8:30. But the carousel was still open!! We quickly bought tickets and headed in. William rode the carousel in Disney and loved it, but you just never know if he has changed his mind. He LOVED it!! He picked a "raaaafe" aka giraffe, and that ride was FAST!!! And went on forever, definitely worth the $1. He kept looking up at Robbie (who chose a horse haha) and just giggling. We need to go back to the park when we can do more, but it was still fun to run in and ride and walk around a little and then head home!

So sweet! Looking at Daddy!
So serious!
Sweet boy!!
When we got home, we were ready to head upstairs, and William starts fussing and throwing a fit on the floor. We are working on using words instead of whining and grunting, so he finallllly squeaked out "juice". Ahh, so you're thirsty? That's easy to fix. I poured him some water and he DID chug it. Poor thing. He is a little mess.

So happy now!

  1. So glad he like the carousel. Davis isn't a fan yet, but hopefully soon he will be! Good, fun entertainment for just a few bucks!

  2. Looks like a lot of fun! I love the carousel at Pullen too. I have always been impressed with how long the ride is - totally worth the $1.

Also, how on earth do you find the time to do all these great blog updates? I'm impressed ;)
