Pool!!

One of William's favorite new words is POOL! Anytime we go by a pool, he starts saying it, over and over again. We really haven't taken him at all this summer. So last night at dinner, I asked Robbie if he wanted to take him to the P-O-O-L. Yes, we have to spell now. He is listening TOO much. We decided since it was still early, we would have time. We drove by the pool on the way home to see how many people were there, ha! William started his chanting, pool, pool! When we kept driving to our house, he started this dramatic fake crying! There is some serious drama in our house, folks. I explained that as soon as we get our bathing suits on, we are going back! We ran into the house and changed, and headed over.

The biggest pro to the pool at 7pm is, no sunscreen is needed!!! Whoo hoo! I am a sunscreen FREAK and wear myself out keeping him coated, so it was nice to not worry about it. We strapped W into his Puddle Jumper and he was OFF. Our pool has a kiddy area that they can walk into. It is only 10 inches deep and he thought he was BIG stuff. It gets deeper slowly, and he did not care. Before we knew it, he was taking off for the 2.5 feet section. He didn't mind one bit going under or having to doggy paddle around. He is a mess!! Even though it scares me, I am so thankful he has no fear. The only tears that he shed were when we were leaving, haha! We have got to find somewhere for him to take some swimming lessons ASAP. We left around 7:45 and went home for his bath and night night!! It was so fun and we will definitely have to take advantage of the pool more often this summer!

Doesn't he look so old here?!

  1. Such a cute little water baby! Early evening swims are the best. A great way to unwind from the day and wear a little one out right before bed. I've debated over lessons this summer offered by Raleigh Parks and Rec. but looking at their schedules, we will always miss one lesson and I'd rather do it when we can go to all of them. That's one place you can check out.
