Weekend Rewind

Whew, this weekend was busy!! I am still exhausted! Friday started with me getting up at 6 to meet my friend's husband. He was going to work on our car. Robbie had to close, so we just hung out at home. William shared some of our pizza for lunch. He loves to smack his toys to bait Riley, and then laugh and laugh as she runs to him and takes the toy! After Robbie went to work, Mama and I rode down to Edible Art to talk about his birthday cake!! I can't believe how close his party is! We had to meet back up at my work to pick my car up at 6. When I went to start it, it would not start!!! JEEZ. Thank goodness, Juan came back and we jumped it. On the way home, it kept almost cutting off. I almost had a heart attack. We got it home and it died right in the driveway. Mama, William, and I went to dinner at the Mexican restaurant right near our house (It was supposed to be Brier Creek but the car kind of put us in a tail-spin). I called AAA when we were leaving and they were at our house within 30 minutes. Thank goodness it was just a battery issue!! We have a new battery, yay! ;) Mama put William to bed so I could be outside with AAA. An eventful day, to say the least! At 9:30, I came in the house to pack for William and myself - we were going to Elizabeth City the next morning.

Come on, Riley!!

Saturday morning, William was up at 6:23. UGH. I don't know what makes him get up so early some days, and other days so late. I jumped in the shower while he and Robbie watched Disney Junior. I had to finish our packing and I always feel like I am forgetting something. We were only staying one night, but I always get that feeling! Mama, Hannah, William and I loaded the van up and we were off! We got to EC by 1. I ran by In-Stitches to drop off some fall clothes to be monogrammed, and then we went to lunch at Pineapple Cafe!! We stopped by Shelley and Brandon's new house and William and Conner had the best time playing! After that, we headed to Robbie's parents house. William played with some new toys they had for him, and even rode on Robbie's childhood rocking horse. He wasn't too sure about it, it was so funny! We had dinner there that night. William tried corn on the cob for the first time. We have to work on him realizing that Riley isn't everywhere we go, because after he finished the corn, he dropped it on the floor! Mama and I left their house around 7:30 to head to celebrate Kate and Matt's wedding! We had a great time seeing people we hadn't seen in a while. We got back to their house around midnight and I was beat! William thankfully was great and fell right asleep for Robbie's parents after his bath. I was nervous how he would do in his Pack n Play, but he slept all night!! Yay!

Ready to go!

Aunt Hannah brushed my hair on the way!

Mama, what do I do with this!?

Sadly, the only picture taken of Kate's celebration!

Sunday morning, William had us up at 7. Leroy made pancakes and William had some of Linda's yogurt with his pancakes. We got our showers and then left their house around 9:15. We stopped at Daddy's house so that he could visit with William for a few minutes. We picked up Hannah from her friend's house and then stopped by Shelley's to return some shoes. She surprised us by giving us one of Conner's toys that William had played with the day before. It is a racetrack for little cars and William LOVES it! He has already figured out how to put the cars on the track and make them go! We stopped in Hertford for lunch and William loved that the kids meal came with the smallest cup of ice cream I've ever seen. We finally got home around 3:15. Robbie was happy to see us!! That night, we went to Golden Corral for dinner and then came home and just relaxed and watched "Bridesmaids".
