The Rest of Our Trip...

Thankfully, Robbie and I both had off through the Thursday after Christmas.A very rare occurrence for us both to be off for such a long time together.We were originally going to come back on Tuesday afternoon and have some time at home before heading back to work, but a very close family member died on Christmas Eve and her funeral was on Wednesday so we stayed an extra night. This was our first trip in a long time that we didn't have things planned and have to rush back to Raleigh.

On Monday, Shelley, Brandon and Conner came over to Robbie's parents to visit with us and exchange gifts for the boys. Shelley also brought a bunch of Conner's old toys for William! We were so happy about that. Those little toys are expensive!!! We got Conner a Rockstar Mickey...it was so neat! That night, we went to dinner at Cypress Creek with them. We left William with his Grandma and Grandpa, who jumped at the chance to keep him ;) We were thankful for a night out without responsibilities, but couldn't wait to see our sweet boy when we got home! He had his first sink bath with his Grandma...so of course we had to have another one the next night for pictures sake! :)

Tuesday, we went to Elizabeth City for a couple hours. My favorite, Wildflower, was closed, so we had lunch at 3 Amigos instead. Scott and Jeremiah joined us, as well as my mom's friend Barbara. We also just happened to run into Ashley, Willie, and Molly! Too funny. Small town life at its finest. Then I heard that we were under a tornado watch (So random for December)...and I was READY to get back to Moyock! So we quickly visited Jennette's to show William to a few special people, then headed home...in a horrible storm!!!! Ugh my nerves were tore up. That night, Robbie's dad fixed spaghetti and William had another sink bath, so fun!!

 Wednesday morning, we got ourselves ready and packed up all of our stuff and headed to the beach for Mildred's funeral. It was so nice to see everyone that we don't see very often, but wish it was under happier circumstances.We finally got back to Cary around 10:30 pm...we were exhausted but had such a  good time at home!!!
